Hello,
Thank you for visiting this site. The Handicapped Veterans Association was set up in 1978 by Neal Nichols, who was in 554th Red Horse CES in Vietnam. HVA helps local veterans with nursery stock, veteran's benefits, and anything else we can help with. We are hoping to branch out and help more veterans by setting up a retreat.
We do have a grant in progress; the people offering the grant need to know that there are veterans that want a retreat like this. So right now we need veterans in support of this retreat. All we need is your name and e-mail address. If you want, you can give us your address and phone number. The info you give will be confidential. When we have plenty of names, we will send them to the grant office.
Once the people offering the grant approve the project, it may take up to 5 years to open. When it does, there will be a small membership fee. The only requirement will be a DD214 or a DD215 honorable discharge. You would olny pay once a year. It will give you access to any part of the retreat, anytime you want to visit. There are a few things we do have to charge for.
Let me remind you, you are under no obligation to join at this time. We just need veterans that would like this kind of place to happen. Plus because of recent events, we would like to set this up as soon as possible.
Please visit our other sites. The retreat page has a list of all sports, activities, buildings, and rules. The price page has prices of the membership and different things that we will have to charge for. The survey page is a survey that when filled out will help us make decisions on the retreat. The contact page is for if you want to give us your name, address, phone, and e-mail address, and also to ask questions. We will try to answer the questions as best as possible. Plus if you have any ideas that could make this retreat better, I would gladly read and consider each of them.
